Aesthetic Crown Lengthening

Some patients complain of having a “gummy smile” or an uneven gum margin. In these cases, crown lengthening is performed to remove excess gum so that more of tooth structure is exposed.

Teeth appear abnormally short due to the position of the bone relative to the teeth: gummy smile.

To correct this we alter the position of the gums and recountour the bone.

Final position of the bone and gums.

Final product: no gummy smile.
