Dental Implants Fairfield County, CT Dental implants are metallic elements that are surgically embedded into the maxillary bones, under the gums. Once they’ve been placed, the dentist will fix prosthetic crowns on them to replace the lost dental pieces. At Stamford Periodontics Implant & Dentistry Center, we are committed to providing the highest level of care in an inviting and relaxed environment. Our primary focus is our patients’ well-being and comfort.  Our operators are custom fitted with the latest state of the art equipment, including our most recent additions of a dental laser and a Sirona Cone-Beam CT scanner, making us the most advanced implant center in southern Connecticut.

How do Dental Implants work?

The Implant integrates with the maxillary bone, providing a solid support for the artificial teeth. The prosthetics placed over the implant do not slip and slide inside your mouth, which is a massive advantage, especially when it comes to chewing and talking. This adaptation also helps the prosthetic crowns placed on the implants look and feel more natural than other alternatives.

Dr. Jackson has been trained in all aspects of Periodontics, including immediate and delayed implant placement, ridge and sinus augmentation, distraction osteogenesis, as well as more traditional surgeries such as resective, regenerative, and periodontal plastic surgery. Dr. Jackson is proficient with multiple implant systems.

For some people, conventional prosthetics seem uncomfortable because they cause them irritation or feature edges to narrow or even produce nausea. Further, this kind of prosthetic must be attached to the teeth on both sides of the empty space. Tooth implants offer the advantage of not having to degrade the adjacent teeth to hold the prosthetic in place. At the Periodontics and Implant Dentistry Center of Stamford, we understand that healthy gums and beautiful teeth can not only boost confidence, but improve one’s overall health.  We emphasize a comprehensive approach to our patients’ dental needs, managing all aspects of periodontal treatment in coordination with the restorative dentist, other dental specialists, and physicians.  We provide individualized quality dental care from routine evaluations and managing periodontal disease to more complex procedures such as dental implants, gum grafting and bone grafting. In order to get an implant, it is necessary to have healthy gums and a bone in good condition to support the implant. The patient must be willing to commit to maintain these structures in good health through regular visits to the dentist and a thorough hygiene process. Here at Stamford Periodontics, we are pleased to provide the highest quality of periodontal treatment to Fairfield County through our expertise in periodontics. Dr. Jackson is from Newton, Massachusetts. He received his dental degree as well as his Certificate in Periodontology from Tufts University. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Periodontology and is also the recipient of the Kaufman Fellowship Award which enabled him to study the effects of periodontal disease on the concentration of adhesion molecules in tissue. Prior to entering the field of dentistry, Dr. Jackson devoted four years to cardiovascular research at Boston University School of Medicine, where he earned a Masters in Biological Science. He also holds a B.S. in Business Administration. Make your appointment today at 203.252.2252.
